Wolfman or The Loup-garou1 (The Wolfman) is a British American horror film directed by Joe Johnston, released on February 12, 2010 in the United States. It is a remake of the film The Wolfman made in 1941 by George Waggner.

1891. Lawrence Talbot, a theater actor known for his roles at the edge of chizophrenia, spent several decades forgetting the brutal death of his mother and moving away from his father's hold. But he is forced to return to Blackmoor, the family estate, following the death of his brother Benjamin. He learns that a bloodthirsty creature decimates the villagers and that a Scotland Yard inspector, Aberline, conducts the investigation. In a Gypsy encampment, Lawrence is attacked by the murderer who turns out to be a lycanthropist. Wounded in the shoulder, he is touched by the "curse" and in turn turns into an infernal beast every night of full moon. While trying to discover the werewolf who passed on his powers to him, Lawrence will have to face a terrible family secret ...
