The Ariane portal
The Ariane portal allows French travelers going abroad to communicate data relating to their stay. This information will enable them to be called by the consular services, directly on their mobile by means of a call or a message, in order to be informed of the evolution of the situation, of the possible organization of relief or repatriation operations. It is important to point out that this data will only be used in the event of a serious political crisis or natural disaster.
The Ariane platform also includes summary sheets, by country, which mention practical information for travelers such as the necessary travel documents, vaccinations, insurance, local legislation, transport, customs, etc.
Benefit from the features of the Ariane portal
If you plan to stay in a so-called “at-risk” country, you are strongly recommended to register on the Ariane portal website, as the registration procedure is carried out online. Once it has been validated, you will need to enter certain data relating to your trip such as your departure and return dates, your mobile phone number, the details of your contacts on site, the cities you plan to visit, the addresses where you plan to settle, etc. All this information will be used to locate you and notify you very quickly if necessary.
The Ariane portal is only intended for French people who plan to go abroad for a short stay, and not for expatriates. For the latter, the travel declaration made on the Ariane portal cannot replace registration in the register of French nationals living outside France.
