The bike lock is entering a new era, that of the connected object. For the first time on the cycle security market, the famous Abus padlock manufacturer is launching a smart bicycle lock, with alarm and without key: the U 770A SmartX lock.

The first of its kind on the market, the U 770A SmartX lock does not need a key! Fully connected via Bluetooth, it can be controlled remotely by a smartphone using a dedicated application.

This new locking system called SmartX makes it possible to secure the padlock only using your phone. No need for a key or code to attach or detach your bike. Once the lock is positioned, attaching the frame and the wheel of the bicycle to a fixed point, it only takes 5 seconds for the lock to be effective and for the alarm to be activated. The only condition is to be connected via Bluetooth with your smartphone. Similarly, the mere presence of the phone near the lock is enough to unlock it if Bluetooth is activated.

In order to avoid any risk of theft or loss of your phone, it is possible to unlock your anti-theft device from another phone. Indeed, up to 8 permissions on other telephones are authorized to unhook the padlock.

On the autonomy side, the charge lasts 3 to 4 months. The user will receive a notification to recharge the battery of the lock through a USB-C port.
Bike lock with Abus alarm for added security

The 770A SmartX also has an alarm. A motion detector triggers a first pre-alarm to deter a potential thief. If the movement stops, it stops after a few seconds. If the lock continues to be abused, however, a 100dB alarm will sound. To stop it, just activate Bluetooth on your phone and approach the padlock.

The lock also records a history of movements. And memorizes the last position of the lock and therefore the last parking place of the bike.
Resistance and autonomy

Developed on the basis of Granit X PLUS 540, the most resistant of the brand to date, this condensed technology is also the cutting edge of robustness. The square parabolic shackle of the padlock is 13 mm in diameter. In the box at the base of the lock, the handle is equipped with a double locking system. The shackle, the case and the elements of the locking mechanism are made of special case-hardened steel, renowned for its great robustness. In addition, the ABUS Power Cell technology offers very high protection against punch and pull attacks.
