In concrete terms, in the event of a natural disaster causing disruption in transport, if you were not able to use the means of transport initially planned, your transporter did not offer you an alternative solution or compensation and you you have had to incur additional costs, thanks to the impossible departure or return guarantee, AXA Assistance will compensate you for travel modification or cancellation costs if the disruptions occur during your departure on your trip or for accommodation, meals and alternative transport if your means of transport is canceled, rerouted or suffers a delay of more than 12 hours on your return journey.
