Technology - The Advantages and Disadvantages

In my opinion, technology is very important nowadays because it is used most of the time for almost everything. Like everything else, there are advantages and disadvantages with regard to technology, especially the internet. Today, I would like to discuss it.

Benefits:

First, for me, I like the internet because it's very useful for doing research. It's easier than books, and it's not very expensive! Sometimes you can do online shopping which is very convenient. But for me, the benefits that are very important are the social networks. For example, on Facebook it allows you to stay in touch and chat with friends, share photos, and see videos and photos. Also, nowadays, because of the new technologies, the internet is very accessible and fast.

Disadvantages:

However, there are disadvantages with regard to technology and the internet. For example, there is the other side of the coin - we spend too much time on the internet. For me, in particular, I need to focus on my work but I spend too much time on Facebook, and Youtube etc. Moreover, there is no privacy on the internet. Some people may copy your information. It's dangerous!

          Nowadays, technology is very important because it is used most of the time for almost everything. Like everything, technology has advantages and disadvantages.

           First, the evolution of technology is beneficial to humans for several reasons. First of all, progress allows accessibility to ease and brings us different devices that help us in our work to save time. At the medical level, technology can treat more patients and therefore save many lives and fight viruses and very harmful bacteria.

          Then, the invention of the computer was a very important point. Communication is facilitated and simplified. companies can communicate more easily with foreign countries. Searches are also simplified.

          Then, for the companies, the progress is a saving of time thus of money. The exchanges are faster especially with the internet. Sales and purchases are now facilitated and possible worldwide. This allows companies to buy raw materials with discounts or reduced prices. Similarly, global tourism has grown. Technology has also increased the productivity of almost every industry in the world.

         

       On another level, the evolution of modern technology has drawbacks, for example, reliance on new technology. Man no longer needs to think. Even if the calculator is a good invention, the man does not do any more mental calculation and does not work anymore his memory.

        In addition, the decline in human capital firms which implies an increase in unemployment. In some areas, devices can replace the human spirit.

       Also, technology pollutes nature. Indeed, some devices are dangerous and harmful to nature and even the health of men. The components are then reduced and therefore much more fragile.

       So we need rules, new laws. For example Internet use is individual freedom. However, the invention of the atomic bomb can not be individual freedom. In fact the regulations are difficult to implement when these technologies appear.

       Of all that preceded and to conclude, when one tries to solve a problem, one creates another one. Now, we are producing genetic plants that are more resistant to diseases, but what would happen if, by mistake, a weed would acquire this characteristic is like the case of technology. Are you for or against technology?
