Moroccan feast: The moussem of roses in Ouarzazate

After the moussem of honey that is held every summer in the region of Imouzzer, discover another Moroccan holiday: the moussem of roses. This festival takes place every year near Ouarzazate.

Every year, during the second weekend of May, the city of Ouarzazate - and especially the region of Kalaat M'Gouna - celebrates the moussem roses. This holiday marks the season of the harvest of the roses and is one of the most beautiful of the kingdom. Many activities are organized: the sale of handicrafts, perfumes, rose water but also parades and performances of folk dances.

To get to this intoxicant Moroccan holiday, or just to visit the Ouarzazate region, you should rent a car. For this, go to one of the two Hertz counters in the city: the car rental agency in Ouarzazate or the car rental agency at Ouarzazate Taourirte airport.

Party or moussem roses in El Kalaa N'Gouma

  

The Rose Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year on the 2nd weekend of May to enjoy the program of folk songs and dances, parades and a craft sale. It is a kind of feast of colors, under a rain of petals, the color of the flowers marrying those of the spices and the fragrance of the perfumes.
