family is a community of people united by the parental bond
(father and mother). The role of the father is to ensure the needs of the
family, the mother on her part takes care of the children in addition to the
household duties even if the mother is a civil servant, the children study well
to succeed, and all this is realized only 'with wise decisions and good
education. But who makes those decisions there. The opinions are divided in
this case: is the father who must make the decisions in the family or both
parents? First, some people think that it is the father who has to decide for
the good of his family because he fulfills the financial needs and plays his
role of educator, as well as the father is more severe than the mother, so he
takes reasonable and logical decisions without being touched by feelings,
unlike the mother whose decisions are affected by her feelings. They also say
that the father knows better than the mother what happens outside the house, so
he knows well how to educate his children to make them men and women capable of
facing the outside life. But is it that the mother has no right to express her
opinions towards the decisions of the father?
This is why other
people say: since the world is in continuous evolution, so the families must
evolve themselves, then the mother must also participate in the decisions so
that both parents are in harmony in the education of their children. Otherwise
the mother will feel neglected, which will have detrimental consequences on the
balance of the family and its harmony and this can lead to the destruction of
the family and divorce. The mentality and authority of the father, especially
in Morocco, are the main causes of divorce in most times, since the father
believes that he is wiser and more intelligent than the woman.
Personally I
think it is the duty of both parents to participate in the decisions of the
family but sometimes we find one of the parents who does not care about the
children and in general of the family
