معنى المخ

The brain is the principal organ of the nervous system of animals belonging to the sub-kingdom of the bilaterals. In ropes, like humans, for example, it is called the encephalon; the term brain can then designate only a part of the encephalon, the brain pros (or even the telencephalon). Nevertheless, in this article, the term brain takes its broadest meaning.
The brain of the chordates is situated in the head, protected by the skull in the cranium, and its volume varies greatly from one species to another. For animals from other branches, some nerve centers are also called brain paranalogy with chordates.
The brain regulates the other systems of organs of the body, acting on muscles or glands, and constitutes the seat of cognitive functions. This centralized control of the organism allows rapid and coordinated responses to environmental variations. Reflexes, patterns of simple answers, do not require the intervention of the brain. However, more sophisticated behaviors require that the brain integrate the information transmitted by the sensory systems and provide an appropriate response.
The brain is an extremely complex structure that can contain up to several billion neurons connected to each other. Neurons are the brain cells that communicate with one another through long protoplasmic fibers called axons. The axon of a neuron transmits nerve impulses, the action potentials, to specific target cells located in regions more or less distant from the brain or the organism. Glial cells are the second cell type of the brain and provide very diverse functions, centered around the support of neurons and their functions.
Despite major advances in neuroscience, the functioning of the brain is still poorly understood. His relations with the mind are the subject of many discussions, both philosophical and scientific.
functions
The main function of the brain is to control the actions of the organism on the basis of the sensory information that reaches it. Sensory signals can stimulate an immediate response, modulate a current activity pattern, or be stored for future needs. Thus, through its central role in capturing external stimuli, the brain plays a central role in creating responses to the environment. The brain also has a role in hormonal regulation.
The brain of the vertebrates receives signals from the afferent nerves on the part of the different regions of the organism. The brain interprets these signals and derives a response based on the integration of the received electrical signals, and then transmits it. This play of reception, integration, and transmission of signals represents the major function of the brain, which explains at the same time the sensations, the movement, the memory and, presumably, the consciousness.

The field of neuroscience encompasses all approaches to understanding the functioning of the brain and the rest of the nervous system. Psychology seeks to understand mind and behavior. Neurology is the medical discipline that diagnoses and treats pathologies related to the nervous system. The brain is also the most studied organ in psychiatry, a branch of medicine that studies and treats mental disorders. Cognitive science attempts to link neuroscience and psychology with other fields such as computer science and philosophy.
