About the festival

The Hala February festival is the most important festival held annually in Kuwait. It is supported by the private sector and some institutions through funding and sponsorships and prizes and coupons. The most prominent of these sectors is the Kuwait Airways Corporation, which has continued with the festival since its inception.

The festival includes an opening ceremony, a parade (usually along Salem Al Mubarak Street in Salmiya). It also includes a marketing festival in cooperation with the complexes and shops to make discounts and special offers and the distribution of coupons and prizes.

Date of the festival

The festival was first launched in 1999 from February 3 to February 24. Where the Organizing Committee, chaired by Mr. Ahmad Al-Mashari (dated December 6, 1998), announced the actual date for the launch of the festival.

The selection of the names of Hala February and February specifically to celebrate the Festival is due to the Independence and Liberation Day this month on February 25 and February 26, thus the festival will complement the joy and joy of national holidays.
